How did you get started in the industry?
My journey to the beauty industry may be differ from other beauty moguls. My background in fashion started from when I always saw my mother apply makeup on occasion. Her application of makeup really interested me and made me want see makeup as an art. When I had started my teen years, I had come to a realisation that my makeup skills was quite remarkable as I had seen techniques my mother used for applying cosmetics.
Biggest lesson you learned in the beauty industry
Learnt the importance of working in a team and understanding people. Working in a beauty store requires you to be patient, understanding and have energy. To be able to work well in these types of sector, you need to be be a people's person or else this job may not be suitable for you.
Any advice you would give to women working in this industry
Don't wait for an opportunity. Create your own journey. May include starting a YouTube channel or a beauty blog.
